Saskatchewan Outdoors Guide

Trails

  • The Wascana Trails Recreation Site has a number of excellent trails, with many of them intersecting so you can create your own path. Dogs welcome on leashes.

  • Starting at Kiwanis Park, this 9km trail follws along the Wascana Creek all the way to Grassick Park near Dowdney Ave. The waterall may be small but it is a great park to hang out at after finishing on the trail.

  • White Butte Trails offer numerous configurations of trails with a dedicated dog trail. We like parking on the northwest corner off of Frank Lake Road, a 20 minute drive from Regina.

  • The Meewasin Trail Loop is a 10km path with many dirt path offshoots closer to the river. We like starting near downtown at Rotary Park thanks to lots of parking, crossing at the Circle Drive Bridge. But before crossing the bridge, there is a large off leash dog park just north of Circle Dr that makes a great addition

  • The easy trails at Chappell Marsh combined with the SouthWest Dog Park Off leash Area make this a great spot for anyone to get some steps in and tire out their dogs as well.
